Giving back, supporting affordable housing, and being supportive of charitable organizations and programs near and dear to our clients is a priority of Housing and Development Services. Since being introduced to Art Restart at NCSHA two years ago, HDS Companies has been proud to provide support by purchasing their holiday cards from their website, www.ArtRestart.org. During the holidays, and year round, Art Restart sells cards, journals, scarves, and other printed items with art created by Denver women experiencing poverty. “Every purchase helps put our artists on a path to self-sufficiency, and supports a climate that encourages community building and healing through art,” explained Teresa Densmore, Director of Art Restart, “Throughout 2018, our patrons had a direct impact on 20 Art Restart artists experiencing poverty.”
“Purchasing these cards is such an easy step that HDS Companies can take to help affect change. Being that this program is all about getting these women back into affordable housing, it aligns with our mission. We are proud to be able to help,” said Cristina Miranda Gilson, owner of HDS Companies.
